The world’s favourite electric dirt bike is back for 2023! While on the outside this new Light Bee X looks identical to it’s 2022 counterpart, this 2023 version packs 2 really big upgrades where it counts. But everything else we all loved about the previous generation is still here. Like the agile size and weight of the bike along with the durable build quality and reliable motor and electronics
The Surron Light Bee X has become extremely popular for a few good reasons. First would be versatility. While being the ideal dirt bike for beginners, it also has the torque and power to be a tonne of fun for more experienced riders.
Next reason is the lack of noise that comes form this dirt bike. Being electric cuts down the Light Bees noise compared to petrol bike which opens up a whole new world of places to ride. No longer do you have to concern yourself with disturbing other people, wildlife or pets with engine noise or exhaust fumes.
3rd reason is upgrades. Because Surron are the leading brand in electric dirt bikes, they are supported with a near infinite amount of accessories and upgrade parts. So you can truly make your Light Bee unique just to you.
Last reason…. Two words. Petrol Prices….
Although the Light Bee X is on the smaller side when it comes to dirt bikes, it is still suitable for a wide range of rider heights due to the off-road nature of the bikes intended purpose. Featuring a seat height of 830mm and optional handlebar risers, you can dial in your own comfort level. I’m 6’ and I find the standard height comfortable, but we see this bike being ridden by everyone from early teens to adults.
When comparing this new version against the 2022 model, there are 3 main changes. The 35AH battery in the 2022 has been beefed up to a massive 40AH. That means this bike will now have a maximum range of 75km. That’s a 20% increase from the previous 55km. Lastly, the 2023 Surron Light Bee is sporting and all new motor that boasts a 20% increase in power of 6KW compared to last years 5KW. This provides some extra torque and acceleration off the mark.
