Just like a car, your bike needs to have regular servicing and maintenance performed at certain intervals to keep your bike in optimal condition. Pretty much every one of these tasks can be carried out at home providing you have the necessary tools and mechanical know how. Failing that, almost any bike shop, including the one where you purchased your bike, can carry out this servicing for you.
