I have just purchased this little ROCKET a couple weeks ago. I have been using the Segway-Ninebot E2 with additional battery. Let’s say it’s night and day on build quality and performance. The engineering and design are amazing, and complements each other. Picture Italian design in appearance and German engineering. The scooter performs amazingly and is incredibly well built. You can see that there was a lot of thought in producing this. I would recommend this to anyone who is seeking a daily ride to your not so everyday adrenaline junky. Enjoy the ride!!
WOW Goes hard. Heaps of power. Very stable and easy to ride.
Well worth the cost, the battery lasts for ages.
I bought this scooter from ampdbros in November last year and throughout the last four months have clocked up to 1100 km. In the last one and half months, it has become my daily commuting scooter between work and home. Bad weather is the only thing that prevented me riding the scooter. While this is not one of the fastest scooters on the market but it is pretty fast. I easily managed 68 km/hr in one of my speed tests but in my regular journies of bicycle paths and the small suburban roads I could easily hit 51 km on a flat road in single motor mode. the rides on this scooter are very comfortable and safe, the suspension on this scooter is absolutely superb as it soaks up all bumps of the uneven road surfaces. In term of maintenance, this scooter is trouble-free, I had to adjust the brake and front/rear wheel a few times and I do monitor the tyre pressure regularly, I generally maintain the tyre pressure at 40-45 psi.
Firstly I will start with customer service from Ampd Brothers. Corey was super fast in responding to my few questions prior to purchase and this level of service was why I ultimately purchased from here.
Now after taking my Mantis for its maiden voyage I will say this is a pure beast. This scooter moves and when you kick in the dual motors make sure you hang on because you can feel the power. This is with the torque settings dumbed down to a newbie level as well! I wound the throttle out at 50kms per hour (on a private road of course ;) ) with more to go before I backed off the speed. The whole time the Mantis felt stable and solid as a rock. I only backed off a bit to drive it over some loose gravel as I didn't know how well it would hold ground on this surface but it didn't even budge.
As this is my first experience with an electric scooter I can't compare this with any other brands or models. What I can say is if you have had your eye on a Mantis, click go on your shopping cart and you will not be disappointed in the slightest.
The service from Ampdbros are second to none, with all my questions answered promptly no question was to small for them,
The Kaabo Mantis pro elite, is an absolute pleasure, it's very very quick off the mark, ensure to hang on an utilize the foot rest, you can of coarse adjust the aggressiveness in the mini motors display unit.
It's build is astonishing, I'm a large fellow(118kg) and still it managers to propel me to warp speed and provide a ride which I must say is very smooth.
It is also very agile for its size, easily dodge people on the side walk with control, can be used as a commuter scooter every day of the week. Just remember it's not very portable when traveling on buses but still could be ok.
The actual scooter will blow your mind when it arrives it is not small by any means, and can be a tight fit in the boot of your car. It's a heavy unit , wouldn't like to carry it up and down stairs to often, but not to heavy that it would be impossible.
As far as if it's worth it, hell yes it is alot better than any single motor units out there, and would come close or if not the top e scooter in its price range. Comfort, riding experience, power all come to mind when you look at this scooter.
Just my 2 cents😁👍🏼
